1Chair Squat [Deep Staggered]
3 sets of 8 reps
  • Come into standing in front of a low chair.
  • Stagger the feet – the foot closest to the chair will be the working limb.
  • Bend the knees and send the bottom back to the chair.
  • Use the arms outstretched as a counterbalance.
  • Tap the bottom to the chair and rise.

If your hip is sore the following day, do it with the legs even (not staggered) instead.

2Toe Taps
3 sets of 12 reps
  • Starting in the tabletop position, connect to the abdominal muscles by drawing the belly button towards the spine.
  • Maintain a neutral pelvic position.
  • Keep the arms by your side and relax your shoulders.
  • Maintain the amount of knee bend whilst you lower the toes of one leg down to the mat and return to the starting position.
  • Repeat on the opposing side maintaining the abdominal contraction.

3Row
3 sets of 12 reps
  • Secure the resistance band to a door handle or pole.
  • Keep the resistance point in line with the belly button.
  • With a proud chest and thumbs pointing towards the roof, pull the band. back maintaining the bend in the elbow.
  • As you pull back, focus on squeezing the shoulder blades together.
  • Control the return.

4Pectoral Stretch
2 sets
30 seconds
  • Stand in front of a doorway.
  • Bend your elbows and place the inside of your forearm against the door frame.
  • Slowly step forwards until you feel a stretch in the front of your shoulder or chest.
  • Hold as prescribed.
