  • Take the affected arm in the opposite hand
  • Gently bring the arm across the body to feel a stretch at the back of the shoulder
  • Turn your head to look over the shoulder of the affected to increase the stretch
  • Hold the stretch for up to 30 secs
  • Repeat 5 times or as instructed by your physiotherapist


  • Complete the exercise to the limit of your discomfort and not into pain
  • If you are unsure of the exercise, please contact your physiotherapist
