Hopping is a plyometric exercise that develops lower limb power, tendon strength, and dynamic stability. It challenges coordination and load tolerance, making it ideal for return-to-sport rehab, running preparation, and ankle or Achilles conditioning. Hopping drills are commonly used to build reactive strength and confidence in single-leg performance.
- Come into standing on the target limb only.
- Hop up and down.
- Try to feel ‘bouncy’.
- To make this exercise more challenging, try to limit your contact time with the ground.
