The bilateral ankle eversion with theraband exercise targets the peroneal muscles on the outside of the lower leg, helping to improve ankle stability and prevent sprains. By working both ankles simultaneously, it builds balanced strength and control for walking, running, and sport. This exercise is commonly used in ankle rehab and for injury prevention in activities requiring lateral movement.

  • Start in sitting with a resistance band around the middle of your feet.
  • Gently pull your feet away for each other and hold for a period of time determined by your Physiotherapist.
  • Let your feet slowly come back together and relax.
  • Do not let your ankles turn inwards during the exercise.
  • Hold and repeat as per your Physiotherapist guidelines.
