- This is a gentle mobility exercise designed to improve dorsiflexion range in the ankle joint.
- This movement also assists in controlled lengthening of the gastrocnemius and soleus.
- Place your affected foot flat on a firm raised surface with your heel firmly in contact.
- Ensure your hips and shoulders are facing square towards your foot.
- Gently shift your body forward, bending at the knee, and allow the knee to glide over the toes while keeping the heel down.
- Hold at the end range for 2–3 seconds, then slowly return to the starting position.
- Keep your movements controlled throughout.
- Complete repetitions as prescribed by your physiotherapist.
