- Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart, holding your arms relaxed at your sides.
- Engage your abdominal muscles gently to maintain an upright posture.
- Begin by shifting your weight onto your left foot.
- Push off the ball of your left foot into a small skip while simultaneously lifting your right leg and extending the knee so your foot points forward.
- As you land softly back on your left foot, bring the right leg down smoothly in a “sweeping motion”.
- Immediately repeat the motion on the opposite side by pushing off your right foot and extending your left leg forward.
- Continue alternating sides in a rhythmic pattern, coordinating your arm swing naturally with each skip.
- Keep your chest lifted and your gaze forward throughout.
- Complete repetitions as prescribed by your physiotherapist.
