Bridge with psoas march

  • Lie on your back with knees stretched and feet on box/bench, hip-width apart
  • Position band around toes
  • Place your arms by your sides with palms down for support
  • Gently engage your core to stabilise your pelvis and avoid rib flare
  • Press through your heels to lift your hips into a bridge
  • Hold a steady bridge position with hips level
  • Lift one foot into table top position bringing the knee up towards 90 degrees hip flexion
  • Keep your pelvis completely still as the leg lifts
  • Lower the foot back down slowly with control
  • Alternate legs in a slow marching motion
  • Maintain even hip height and avoid shifting side to side
  • Hold/maintain as prescribed by your physiotherapist
