- Attach an ankle strap to the cable and secure it around the ankle of the working leg.
- Stand side-on to the cable machine with the working leg closest to the weight stack.
- Hold onto the machine or a stable support for balance if needed.
- Stand tall with your supporting leg slightly bent and brace your abdominal muscles.
- Begin with the working leg positioned slightly across the front of your body.
- Keeping your knee straight and your toes pointing forwards, move your working leg out to the side in a controlled motion.
- Pause briefly at the end of the movement.
- Slowly return your leg to the starting position with control, allowing it to move slightly across the front of your body.
- Keep your trunk upright and avoid leaning or rotating your pelvis throughout the exercise.
- Complete repetitions as prescribed by your physiotherapist.
