Demi-Semont maneuver is a fast repositioning movement to treat the right ear BPPV where there is a crystal lodged in the short arm of the semicircular canal in the inner ear.
- Sit upright on the edge of your bed/couch/table
- Turn your head to the Left (away from the affected ear)
- Quickly lie down on your left side, you will be seeing the bed and hold this position for 30 seconds or until the dizziness resolves
- Quickly sit up looking upwards towards the left, wait 30 seconds or until the dizziness resolves
- Please repeat this sequence 5 times or as per your physiotherapist guidelines
