  • Stand on top of a step or low box with both feet hip-width apart and close to the edge
  • Engage your core and maintain an upright chest
  • Step or lightly drop off the step, landing on both feet at the same time
  • Absorb the landing by bending at the hips, knees and ankles in a smooth, controlled motion
  • Keep your knees tracking in line with your second toes and evenly weight-bearing through both legs
  • Maintain a stable trunk and level pelvis
  • Stabilise the landing and regain your balance before standing tall again
  • Complete repetitions as prescribed by your physiotherapist
