- Stand sideways next to the reformer with light springs attached.
- Place the foot closest to the reformer onto the near shoulder pad, with your toes pointing down.
- Keep your standing leg straight but not locked, and your torso upright.
- Gently press the carriage backwards by extending the hip of the leg on the reformer.
- Maintain a tall posture, drawing your ribs down and engaging your core to avoid arching your lower back.
- You should feel a stretch through the front of the hip on the reformer side.
- Keep your hips square and avoid rotating your pelvis.
- Hold/maintain as prescribed by your physiotherapist.
