  • Stand beside the Reformer and place one foot onto the stable platform (non-moving section).
  • Bring your other foot onto the same stable platform so both feet are secure.
  • Once you feel steady, turn your body to side face the foot bar.
  • Place the outside foot (furthest from the foot bar) onto the moving carriage, toes pointing forward.
  • Position feet hip-width apart, knees softly bent, and pelvis level.
  • Engage your core and maintain upright posture.
  • Inhale to prepare. As you exhale, press the outside leg out to the side, sliding the carriage away while keeping toes pointing forward and hips square.
  • Inhale to return the carriage in slowly and with control—avoid letting it snap back.
  • Keep the supporting leg steady and maintain balance throughout.
  • Complete repetitions as prescribed by your physiotherapist.
