The BBQ or roll is used to treat Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) for the horizontal canal.
The roll is used to move the dislodged crystal back in the otolith organs where it came from to be reabsorbed.
Its important to complete a full 360-degree rotation to ensure the crystal moves completely through the loop of the horizontal canal.
The crystals move very slowly, and this is why the positions need to be held for 60 seconds.
It is normal to feel symptoms of vertigo and nausea during the movements. Make sure you hold for another 60 seconds after the symptoms have settled.
