The isometric hamstring bridge is a strengthening exercise that targets the hamstring muscles at the back of the thigh, while also engaging the gluteal muscles and core.
It is commonly prescribed to improve hamstring strength and endurance, assist with rehabilitation following hamstring injuries, and enhance lower limb stability.
Lie on your back with your knees bent to approximately 20 to 30 degrees and your heels resting on the floor or an elevated surface as directed by your physiotherapist.
Position your arms by your sides and gently engage your abdominal muscles.
Press your heels firmly into the surface and hold.
