The knee extension stretch is designed to improve the ability to fully straighten the knee, enhancing joint mobility and reducing stiffness. It targets the muscles and connective tissues at the back of the knee, supporting better function in walking, running, and daily activities. This stretch is often used in rehabilitation after injury or surgery to restore full range of motion.

  • Come into sitting with a rolled-up towel under the heel of the target limb.
  • Allow the knee to soften into a straightened position.
  • Sustain as per Physiotherapist guidelines.
  • To come out of the posture use the hands to passively bend the knee.
