  • Stand with your feet approximately shoulder-width apart, holding a medicine ball with both hands.
  • Engage your core and maintain a tall posture.
  • Lift the medicine ball overhead by extending through your hips, knees, and arms.
  • Rise onto your toes as you reach overhead if comfortable.
  • Forcefully drive the ball straight down towards the floor by pulling your arms down while simultaneously bending through your hips and knees.
  • Brace your core throughout the movement and exhale as you slam the ball.
  • Allow your hips and knees to absorb the movement as you follow the ball towards the floor.
  • Retrieve the ball using a squat or hip hinge while keeping your back straight.
  • Return to the starting position and repeat.
  • Complete repetitions as prescribed by your physiotherapist.
