Stand beneath a neutral grip pull-up bar and grasp the parallel handles with your palms facing each other, with your hands approximately shoulder-width apart.
Allow your body to hang with your arms fully extended, keeping your shoulders gently engaged rather than completely relaxed.
Brace your abdominal muscles and keep your body still throughout the exercise.
Begin the movement by drawing your shoulder blades down and back.
Pull yourself upwards by bending your elbows and driving them down towards your sides.
Continue pulling until your chin clears the level of the handles.
Lower yourself slowly and with control until your arms are fully extended.
Avoid swinging, kicking your legs or using momentum throughout the exercise.
Complete repetitions as prescribed by your physiotherapist.
