  • Stand beneath a neutral grip pull-up bar and grasp the parallel handles with your palms facing each other, with your hands approximately shoulder-width apart.
  • Allow your body to hang with your arms fully extended, keeping your shoulders gently engaged rather than completely relaxed.
  • Brace your abdominal muscles and keep your body still throughout the exercise.
  • Begin the movement by drawing your shoulder blades down and back.
  • Pull yourself upwards by bending your elbows and driving them down towards your sides.
  • Continue pulling until your chin clears the level of the handles.
  • Lower yourself slowly and with control until your arms are fully extended.
  • Avoid swinging, kicking your legs or using momentum throughout the exercise.
  • Complete repetitions as prescribed by your physiotherapist.
