  • Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart, holding a barbell in front of your thighs with an overhand grip.
  • Keep a soft bend in your knees and gently brace your core.
  • Hinge at your hips by pushing your hips backwards while keeping the barbell close to your legs.
  • Maintain a neutral spine, keeping your chest lifted and shoulders relaxed.
  • Lower the barbell down the front of your thighs towards your shins until you feel a stretch through the hamstrings.
  • Keep your weight evenly distributed through your feet and avoid rounding your back.
  • Squeeze your glutes and drive your hips forwards to return to the starting position.
  • Complete repetitions as prescribed by your physiotherapist.
