Seated isometric ankle DF
- Sit upright on a chair with both feet flat on the floor.
- Place the heel of your unaffected foot firmly over the top of the affected foot.
- Keep the affected foot flat on the floor in a plantargrade position.
- Attempt to lift the front of the affected foot upwards into dorsiflexion while the top foot prevents any movement.
- Maintain steady pressure through both feet without allowing the ankle to move.
- Keep your heel in contact with the floor throughout the exercise.
- Breathe normally and avoid tensing the upper body.
- Hold as prescribed by your physiotherapist.
