The shrug is a simple upper body strengthening exercise that targets the trapezius muscles, helping to improve shoulder stability and posture. Performed by lifting the shoulders upward in a controlled motion, it can relieve tension, build endurance, and support neck and upper back health. This exercise is often included in rehab for shoulder or neck issues and in postural programs.

  • In a standing or sitting position, let arms rest naturally by your side.
  • From here, bring the top of your shoulders up towards your ears.
  • Hold as per Physiotherapist recommendations.
