Supine snow angels with roller

  • Lie on your back with a foam roller positioned lengthways along your spine, supporting your head and pelvis
  • Bend your knees with feet flat on the floor for balance
  • Gently engage your core to keep your ribs from flaring
  • Start with your arms by your sides, palms facing up
  • Slowly move your arms out to the side and overhead in a wide arc, like making a snow angel
  • Keep your arms relaxed but aim to maintain contact with the floor throughout the movement
  • Move within a comfortable range without forcing your shoulders down
  • Control the motion as you return your arms back to your sides
  • Complete repetitions as prescribed by your physiotherapist
