- Sit on the edge of the table with your thighs halfway off the edge.
- Holding both knees, lie back onto the table.
- Bring both knees towards your chest to flatten your lower back and stabilise the pelvis.
- Keeping the unaffected leg held at the chest, slowly lower the affected leg down towards the floor, allowing it to hang freely off the edge.
- Ensure your back remains flat on the table and your pelvis doesn’t tilt.
- You should feel a stretch at the front of the hip or thigh on the affected side.
- Hold/maintain as prescribed by your physiotherapist.
