Wall angels against wall

  • Stand with your back against a wall, placing a long foam roller vertically between your spine and the wall.
  • Position your feet slightly away from the wall and soften your knees.
  • Keep your head, upper back, and pelvis gently in contact with the roller.
  • Gently draw your shoulder blades back and down without arching your lower back.
  • Start with your arms by your sides, elbows straight or slightly bent, and palms facing forward.
  • Slowly slide your arms out to the side and upward, like making a snow angel.
  • Move only as far as comfortable while keeping your ribs relaxed and your neck soft.
  • Slowly return your arms back down to the starting position with control.
  • Complete repetitions as prescribed by your physiotherapist.
